Editor

As an editor with over five years of experience editing for digital, print, and various businesses, I specialize in shaping compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. As an editor at Atlas Obscura, I consistently edited top-performing, longform and shortform pieces on everything from local horror hosts to solving a medieval murder cold case, crossing a range of verticals from travel, science, culture, arts, food, nature, history, and more. At Atlas Obscura, I also launched the “She Was There” series, spotlighting female scholars and authors writing women back into history, and Atlas’s first-ever celebrity vertical “Secret Obsessions,” featuring as-told-to stories with Kesha, Patricia Arquette, Ken Burns, and many others.

My approach as an editor combines a passion for inclusivity with a dedication to editorial excellence, helping bring underrepresented voices and untold stories to light. My experience as a bestselling author and journalist further informs my editing style, allowing me to empathize with writers and offer constructive feedback that hones narrative while fostering a creative, collaborative relationship.
